Frequently Asked Questions
For those of you who haven't tried online training before, here are answers to some of the most common questions we get about the PER4ORMANCE PROGRAMS.
How fit do I need to be to join the program?
All abilities are welcome although it would be beneficial to have a little bit of gym experience.
What is the difference between the male and female program?
Both programs aim to develop the whole body whilst improving fitness. However the male program has an emphasis towards muscle building (in particular the chest, back and arms) whilst the female program has an emphasis towards muscle toning (in particular legs, bum, tum and arms).
How are the workouts structured?
The programs don't follow a set structure. Over the years, we've used a range of different training splits including; full body, push-pull, push-pull-legs and upper-lower.
I will adjust the format when I believe the time is right to keep things fresh and exciting for the group members.
However, you can be sure that both programs will always be focused on helping you build a well rounded physique both in terms of appearance and performance.
I don't have access to a gym, is this a problem?
Unfortunately, these programs are both gym based. Therefore to get the most out of them, you will either need to be a member of a gym or have access to a set dumbbells, barbells and a cardio machine at home.
How does the app work?
The app contains all your workouts for the week with either written instructions or a video overview from me. All you need to do is work your way through the workouts and log your results in the app for me to review.
The app will provide you with personalised weight reccomendations on key exercises and also lets you view your exercise history for any exercise you've ever done.
It also features optional community leaderboards for anybody that benefits from some healthy competition and a host of different benchmark challenges to test yourself on.
What is Session X?
Session X is a platform that all of my clients get free access to. Think of it as 'YouTube for all things mobility'. It has a host of follow along videos that you can do at home covering; yoga, pilates, rehab, meditation, desk stretches and more all recorded by professionals.
